David W. Lambert

Mr. Lambert is an associate of the firm and has been with Provosty, Sadler & deLaunay, APC since 2000. He has more than 15 years experience in general civil law.

Mr. Lambert received a B.S. from Northwestern State University and Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1993.

Narrative

Mr. Lambert is the supervising attorney of the firm’s LegalSheildâ„  Department. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a law clerk for the Eleventh Judicial District Court and a research attorney for the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal.

David T. Marler

Attorney Brief

Mr. Marler has been with the firm since 2009 and works, primarily, in the LegalShieldSM Department of the firm.  Previously, he was in solo practice with experience in the areas of contract formation, negotiation and dispute, construction law, successions, estate planning issues, and landlord lease formation. He maintains a general law practice.

Education

Mr. Marler holds a B.S. Degree from Louisiana State University of Baton Rouge, 1983 and a Juris Doctorate from Thomas Cooley Law School, Lansing, Michigan, 1999.

Mr. Marler has served on the Advisory Board of NextStep, a non-profit organization located in Central Louisiana, which is dedicated to improving the lives of victims of domestic violence.  He also serves as Treasurer for the Campaign to Elect Chris Hazel, District 27, Louisiana House of Representatives.


 

Eli J. Meaux

Attorney Brief

Eli J. Meaux joined the Provosty firm as an associate in 2013. He has a general civil litigation practice focusing on issues of municipal defense and commercial liability. He also has experience in secured transactions litigation, creditor liability defense and collections.

Education

Mr. Meaux graduated with a B.A. in History from Louisiana State University in 2008 and received his Juris Doctorate from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2011, graduating Order of the Coif, magna cum laude.

Mr. Meaux was a Member of the Louisiana Law Review during his time at the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, as well as an extern at the Louisiana Supreme Court in 2009.

James William Standley, IV

Attorney Brief

Mr. Standley joined the firm as an associate in 2003. In 2009, he accepted a position as Deputy Disciplinary Counsel with the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board’s Office of the Disciplinary Counsel. While there, Mr. Standley was responsible for investigating and prosecuting instances of attorney misconduct, arguing matters before hearing committees, board panels, and the Louisiana Supreme Court. In 2016, he re-affiliated with the firm engaging in general practice.

Education

Mr. Standley holds a B.G.S. from Northeast Louisiana University (now University of Louisiana at Monroe) in 1994; J.D. from Southern University Law Center in 2000.

Narrative

Prior to joining the firm in 2003, Mr. Standley practiced in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, engaging in a general civil and criminal practice. He also participated in several class action and mass tort matters. From 2009 to 2016, Mr. Standley was Deputy Disciplinary Counsel at the Louisiana Office of the Disciplinary Counsel. In that position, he conducted investigations into attorney misconduct, and presented matters before Hearing Committees, the Disciplinary Board, and the Louisiana Supreme Court. Mr. Standley returned to the firm in 2016.

R. Beauregard Bradford

Attorney Brief

Mr. Bradford retired as Colonel on 1 February 2018 with 23 years of Active Duty service. He possesses extensive Command and Staff experience in the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and the Military Police Corps.

Education

Mr. Bradford received a BA in Journalism form Louisiana Tech University in 1987, an MS in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in 2011 and a JD (Cum Laude) from Southern Law Center in 1994.

Narrative

Mr. Bradford’s last military assignment was Chief of Federal Contracting, U.S. Property & Fiscal Office- LA. He defended the government in vendor protests, executed the largest Federal Contracts and managed a contracting staff. He served as Commander of the largest battalion in Operation Iraqi Freedom 2008 and Commander of a Military Police battalion during Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and other emergencies. Bradford was Summary Courts Martial Convening Authority during both battalion commands. As a Judge Advocate, he served as trial and legal counsel. He is a former State Assistant Attorney General and also worked in private law practice.
